The Samuel W. Williams, Jr. Business Center was created by the Greater
Syracuse Chamber of Commerce to provide a place for small businesses
to get started and to flourish.
Built in 1986 and expanded in 1990, it offers office and light manufacturing/industrial
space to new ventures, entrepreneurs and expanding businesses.
Unlike standard rental space, it provides a variety of shared services
- copy machines and bindery equipment are centrally located in the
mail room for all tenants. The Center also provides three different
conference rooms that are available for meetings and/or training needs.
Also available are an overhead projector, screen, podium and dry eraser-board.
Overnight delivery service drop boxes are conveniently located inside
the building as well.
Among the important advantages of the Center are the following:
The ability to share experiences with others in the Center who
are also engaged in starting businesses
The availability of a Business Advisor who can help in formulating
business plans and assist in lining up experts from local colleges
and the business community who are willing to give advice and
assistance
